The Lair of the White Worm

Sometimes known as The Garden of Evil, The Lair of the White Worm is Bram Stoker's twelfth and final novel. It was first published in 1911 by William Rider and Son, Limited, along with illustrations by Pamela Colman Smith (shown here). It was adapted into a 1988 British horror film starring Hugh Grant and Amanda Donohoe.
Partly based on the Lambton worm it is a horror story that features a giant white worm that can transform into a woman. The plot centers around Adam Salton. His uncle, who wishes to make him Adam his heir, wishes for him to establish relationships with his remaining family.
Together with Dracula and The Jewel of Seven Stars it is one of Stoker's most popular novels.
