Main Street
When Carol Milford marries Dr. Wll Kennicott, he convinces her to leave the city life she is accustomed to in Minneapolis and relocate to his home-town of Gopher Prairie, Minnesota. Carol is taken aback by the little town's backward ways ugly appearance and sets about to improve it. Carol struggles against a local culture set in its ways, leaves her husband and the town but returns, able to accept Gopher Prairie for what it is.
